Director of Public Works
Pay Grade: 7 ($54,205.40 - $68,975.91 - $83,746.79)
Responsible for the administration and operation of the Public Works Department. Responsible for directing and organizing staff members and contracted professional consultants, planning short and long range development of City public works and maintenance functions, managing department projects and managing all administrative activities relating to Public Works such as budgets and contract management. Serves as the direct contact for the Mayor and Board of Aldermen on all Public Works projects and activities within the City. Provides assistance and support to the Community Development and Parks and Recreation Departments.
Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Works, Construction, or related field. Six years of Public Works supervisory work experience. Proven experience in grant writing for Public Works departments is desired.
Recreation Supervisor - Membership and Marketing (Full-time)
Building/Grounds Maintenance Worker
Pay Grade: H ($11.34 - $14.43 - $17.52)
Performs manual routine work in all phases of building cleaning operations including vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, replacing cleaning and custodial supplies, cleaning windows and doors (inside and outside), removing snow, occasionally landscaping, replacing light bulbs, painting interior and exterior surfaces, and other building maintenance activities as required. Receives daily functional supervision from Building/Grounds Technician; receives administrative supervision from Building Operations Supervisor.
Parks & Recreation
Pay Grade: 3 ($35,013.27 - $44,554.39 - $54,095.51)
Full-time position responsible for overall management of the Parks & Recreation Department’s marketing and promotional strategies. Responsible for coordinating training of customer service and quality. Responsible for membership sales, retention efforts and strategies. Duties include planning, designing and implementing marketing campaigns and promotional activities, membership retention strategies, corporate membership sales, member satisfaction surveys. Operational knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5/Design Premium CS5.5 and Social Media strongly desired.
Recreation Associate IV (Aerobics Instructor - Stationary Cycling)
The Recreation Associate IV will perform duties as assigned under the direction of a Recreation Supervisor, Specialist or upper level Instructor. Associates will assist with equipment set up, class routines and skills, and creating a safe and fun environment. Responsible for assisting and enforcing the rules, regulations, programs, and safety for all participants. Experience and certification in group cycling instruction preferred.
