Plan Review

Once an application is received here in the Planning and Zoning Department, it is reviewed for zoning compliance and also for compliance to the building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical codes which the City has adopted.  Work on any project cannot begin until an approved permit has been issued; we will call the applicant as soon as the application has been approved.  In many cases, approvals from the Fenton Fire Protection District and the Metropolitan Sewer District are needed prior to the City issuing final approval.
