Director of Public Works
Pay Grade: 15 ($79,379 - $102,002 - $124,624)
The ideal candidate is a solution-oriented and collaborative leader with the ability to perform complex supervisory, administrative duties. Manages routine and emergency operations of the Public Works Department. Develops and administers projects and grants, manages staff, oversees budget planning and management, reviews and approves procurements, initiates safety programs, develops Capital Improvement Plan projects, directs overall departmental operations including City streets, parks, vehicles, and infrastructure maintenance and improvements, and interacts with political figures, the public, and other departments within and outside of the City.
Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Public Works, Construction, or related field. Six years of Public Works supervisory experience or other equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience in grant writing for Public Works Departments is desired. Professional Engineering license is desired. Must maintain a valid, current driver’s license.

Recreation Supervisor – Camps/Special Events/Front Desk
The City of Fenton is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Recreation Supervisor – Camps/Special Events/Front Desk. This position assists the Director in the oversight, implementation, and operation of RiverChase programs, specifically Camps, Special Events and Front Desk. The Camps, Special Events, and Front Desk Recreation Supervisor is responsible for hiring and training of camp counselors, gymnastic instructors, front desk attendants and pool booth staff, Plans, designs, promotes implements, and supervises summer, spring break and holiday camps, stay and play and special events. Assists with other programs/events throughout the Parks and Recreation Department at the request of the Director. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Tourism, Marketing, or related field with three to five years of experience in related work, or other equivalent combination of education and experience. Must maintain a CPR certification. Must have a valid, current driver’s license. May require specific related certification, depending on area assigned.
Starting salary is $39,003 but will be determined based on qualifications.
