Maintenance Worker I
The City of Fenton is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Maintenance Worker I. This position will perform maintenance and construction of City infrastructure, recreational facilities, park grounds, and buildings. Other duties include, but are not limited to, repairs on City streets, curbs, sidewalks, parking lots, drainage systems including culverts and ditches, park grounds, recreational facilities and buildings, operating light to heavy equipment and performing seasonal tasks such as snow removal and de-icing procedures, tree trimming, and brush removal, grass and weed mowing and trimming. High School Diploma or equivalent experience in public works, construction, or related field required. Must have a CDL or obtain within six months of employment. Starting salary is $31,373 but will be determined based on qualifications. Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic
The City of Fenton is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic. This position ensures the maintenance and repair of all City vehicles and equipment, schedules maintenance and repair of City vehicles and equipment, updates documentation logs on vehicles and equipment, oversees inventory maintenance and ensures compliance with EPA and OSHA rules and regulations, as they pertain to vehicle maintenance. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with additional training in vehicle maintenance and repair, and three or more years of related work experience or other equivalent combination of education and experience. Commercial Driver’s License preferred, but not required.
Starting salary is $42,809 but will be determined based on qualifications. Summer Camp Counselor
Must have prior experience working with children. Position runs from last week in May to the first week in August, Monday-Friday. Shift hours vary between the times of 7a and 5:30p. Applicants must be able to work 8 out of 10 weeks of the summer camp program.
Farmers’ Market Assistant Manager
The Olde Towne Fenton Farmers Market is a community-based market supporting local farmers and serves as an accessible outlet to purchase a diverse selection of fresh, high quality produce. The market is located in the Olde Towne Fenton Pavilion at 200 Gravois Rd in Olde Towne Fenton, and operates every Saturday from 8:00-1:00 p.m. (May-October). The pavilion has capacity for 16 vendors. Over 200 customers attend the market each weekend. The market also has special events and live music throughout the season. The Farmers Market Assistant Manager will perform duties as assigned under the direction of a Recreation Supervisor (Farmers Market Manager). The assistant will attend each weekly market on Saturday from 7:00-1:00 p.m. The assistant will be responsible for opening and closing the market and being on site during market hours. The assistant will be responsible for checking in all vendors and making sure all vendors abide by rules of Olde Towne Fenton Farmers Market. Some demonstrable familiarity and interest in gardening, farming and event coordination is a plus.
Front Desk Associate (Seasonal & Year Round)
Responsible for assisting members and guests with front desk check-in, program review, registrations, and enrolling guests as members. Answers incoming phone calls, directs customer throughout facility. Staff use cash register, and registration software. Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must, as well as computer skills. Morning/Daytime/Evening shift hours available for seasonal position. Year round hours will mainly be limited to evenings. Staff must be available to work at least 1-2 weekend shifts a month for both seasonal and year round.
Stay ’N’ Play Worker - Mornings
Applicants should have prior experience working with children between the ages of 3mos and 12 yrs. Structure for children is based on open play environment. No bottle feeding or diaper changing included in staff responsibilities. Must be available Monday-Friday 8am-12pm. Starting at $10.06 per hour.
Flexible hours, requires day and night availability. At least one year of experience preferred. Must have certification (AFAA, ACE, NASM or another national certification).
