 Community Development

Permit Coordinator - Starting at $34,824 - but will be determined based on qualifications.  

The City of Fenton is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Permit Coordinator. This position will perform administrative and clerical functions for the Community Development Department and will perform the permit application process. Other duties include, but are not limited to, answering incoming calls, responding to general inquiries and inquiries regarding permit applications and Zoning regulations, maintaining department databases and files, and processing permit applications. May serve as Notary Public.

                                       Public Works

Maintenance Worker I - Starting at $31,373 - but will be determined based on qualifications.  

This position will perform maintenance and construction of City infrastructure, recreational facilities, park grounds, and buildings.  Other duties include, but are not limited to, repairs on City streets, curbs, sidewalks, parking lots, drainage systems including culverts and ditches, park grounds, operating light to heavy equipment and tree trimming, and brush removal, grass and trimming.   

Assistant Building and Grounds Technician - Starting at $39,003 - but will be determined based on qualifications.  

This position leads and participates in the performance of manual, semi-skilled, and skilled labor in the maintenance and repair of City recreational facilities and buildings.  Prepares work site and ensures work is performed in a safe and acceptable manner.   Responds to emergency calls and assists with disaster duties including storm damage clean up and repairs and snow and ice removal.

Parks & Recreation Department

Recreation Associate II - Park Concession Stand Attendant

The City of Fenton is accepting applications for a Rec. II – Park Concession Stand Attendant for the 2023 season. The position works approximately 20-25 hours per week. The varied work schedule will include evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

Performs duties as assigned under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor- Adult and Youth Sports/Rentals or Park Concession Stand Manager, as assigned. This position is responsible for daily duties at the Fenton City Park and/or Fenton Sports Complex, including customer service, food preparation, and financial transactions. 

Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and able to complete SMART Server Training. Must be able to obtain and retain a Basic First Aid and CPR/AED certification. Experience in cash handling is preferred. Individuals hired for this position must pass a drug test and a background check.

Recreation Associate IV - Park Concession Stand Manager

The City of Fenton is accepting applications for a Rec. III – Park Concession Stand Manager for the 2023 season.  This position is responsible for assisting with the overall supervision of the concession stands at Fenton City Park and/or Fenton Sports Complex, as assigned.  Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older and able to complete SMART Server Training.  Individuals hired for this position must pass a drug test and a background check. 

Recreation Associate V - Umpire

The City of Fenton is accepting applications for a Rec. V – Umpire for the 2023 season. This position is responsible for officiating adult softball league games.
