Administrative Assistant - Full-Time Position

The City of Fenton is seeking a qualified individual for the position of a full-time Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant position includes, but is not limited to the following duties: Answers and directs telephone calls; greets and assists the public with various inquiries, prepares and proofreads correspondence, lists, calendars, and booklets, ensuring accuracy of materials, maintains correspondence and files; processes, prepares, and maintains department files and documents in an organized manner, assists with special projects and events held throughout the City, meters, stamps, sorts and distributes mail and oversees mailing projects as needed, assists Finance department as needed, provides customer service to resolve questions/issues from the general public, maintains necessary office supplies and other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent with one (1) to three (3) years’ of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have reliable transportation.

Starting salary is $31,373 but will be determined based on qualifications. Building and Grounds Worker

The City of Fenton is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Building and Grounds Worker.  This position performs manual routine work in all phases of building cleaning operations including vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, replacing cleaning and custodial supplies, cleaning windows and doors (inside and outside), removing snow, replacing light bulbs, painting interior and exterior surfaces, and other building maintenance activities as required.

High School Diploma or equivalent.  Two or more years of related work experience or other equivalent combination of education and experience desired.  Must have a valid, current Driver’s License (CDL preferred, but not required).

Maintenance Worker I

Recreation Associate 1 - Front Desk - RiverChase

The City of Fenton is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Recreation Associate 1 – Front Desk worker at RiverChase. This position is responsible for greeting gym users, answering phones, checking members and guests into community pass, registering customers for classes, programs and memberships, checking in and out rental equipment, collecting fees for all transactions and balancing cash drawers after every shift.

Youth and Adult Sports/Rentals

The City of Fenton is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Recreation Supervisor – Youth and Adult Sports/Rentals. This position assists the Director in the oversight, implementation, and operation of RiverChase programs, specifically Youth and Adult Sports and Rentals. The supervisor reports to the Parks and Recreation Director and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all Athletic Facilities at the Fenton City Park and RiverChase Recreation Center, hiring and training concessions staff, officials, field managers and score keepers, coordinates daily maintenance operations of all athletic playing fields, youth and adult sports programs. Assists with other programs/events throughout the Parks and Recreation Department at the request of the Director. 

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Tourism, Marketing, or related field with three to five years of experience in related work, or other equivalent combination of education and experience. Must maintain a CPR certification. Must have a valid, current driver’s license. May require specific related certification, depending on area assigned.

The City of Fenton is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Recreation Supervisor – Camps/Special Events/Front Desk. This position assists the Director in the oversight, implementation, and operation of RiverChase programs, specifically Camps, Special Events and Front Desk.
